Commenced following a suggestion from Heather after a fall/winter hike with towering aspens. The aspens evoked a clear memory of looking up through turning leaves on a beautiful fall day in Chapel Hill, North Carolina many years ago. Painted in the midst of a series of very dense “accretion” paintings, this one is fairly simple with a lot of open work. The architecture of the floating city below contrasts with the leaf forms above.
